About Cynthia da Silva:

Since opening her practice on Martha’s Vineyard in 1997, Cynthia da Silva has consistently offered caring, professional attention and specialized treatments to her valued clients.

Cynthia received her massage therapy certification in 1997 at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Lenox, MA. From 2000 to 2002, Cynthia received extensive training and certification in Japanese Facial Massage from KOBIDO Master, Shogo Mochizuki at the Japanese Massage & Bodywork Institute. In 2005, Cynthia received certification in ‘Advanced Acupressure’ at the Acupressure Institute in Berkeley, CA.

At Aazora, we use only the purest, superior quality products.

For all facial treatments, we use EMINENCE products from Hungary, the highest quality, organic skin care.
For all massage treatments, we use only pure oils from nature’s sources, which contain no additives, preservatives or toxins
For AromaTherapy treatments, we use only pure essential oils.

All of our Japanese facial treatments offer a unique blend of traditional, Japanese facial massage techniques, combined with the finest organic skin care products. The experience is amazingly relaxing, yet rejuvenating.

All treatments are non-invasive. Relying solely on Japanese facial massage techniques, we never use machines or tools that can disturb and damage the delicate tissues of the face. You will leave looking and feeling radiant and rejuvenated, glowing inside and out!

The KOBIDO Philosophy

The KOBIDO Tradition

Since the 15th century, the KOBIDO lineage has existed in Japan as an exclusive treatment for the Imperial family and the wealthy. To this day the KOBIDO tradition remains exclusive, passed from master to student and very few are selected to study these traditional Japanese techniques.

In 2005, Shogo Mochizuki was appointed the 26th Master of KOBIDO, succeeding Master Ito who had presided over the lineage for over 50 years.

Cynthia da Silva, owner/therapist at Aazora Face & Body Sanctuary is among the few who have studied directly with Shogo Mochizuki to learn these traditional techniques.
